Welcome to the Hotel Villa Marita.

Built in 1996 on the El Santuario plateau, on the side of Baru Volcano, with great views over the nearby valley.   The hotel offers 6 cabañas, each with a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. 4 of these also have an outdoor terrace.   The cabañas offer either a queen-size bed or two twin beds.

There are also 3 standard rooms each with twin beds and bathroom as well as a family cabin with two bedrooms, living room and fully equipped kitchen. The family cabin has a queen bed and two twin beds and an extra bed can be placed in the living room.

The hotel also has 3 apartments; located upstairs in the main building are a studio apartment with queen bed, bathroom and a kitchenette and a one-bedroom apartment with separate living room, small dining area, kitchen and bathroom. The separate “Green House” is a fully furnished one-bedroom cabin that provides a large bedroom with ensuite bathroom, living/dining room and fully equipped kitchen.  These apartments are available for long-term rentals and may not be available for short stays - call us to find out.

All the cabins, rooms and apartments have TVs with cable service, WiFi Internet and hot water.

In the main building you will find a large common room with library, large screen TV, bar and free coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Buffet breakfast is served daily - $4.00 per person plus tax.

• The Cabañas

   

  Simply decorated with wood paneling, our 6 Cabañas are ideal for couples or small families with either twin beds that can be put together to form a king bed, or a queen bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge.  All of the cabañas have cable TV and four of them have an outside terrace.

   

  

• Standard Rooms

   

  For the more budget minded, our 3 standard rooms are basic yet very comfortable with twin beds, private bathroom with hot water and cable TV.

   

  

• Family Suite

   

  The Family Suite is a separate bungalow with 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bathroom.  One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has twin beds.  Extra beds can be placed in the living room area.  The kitchen is fully equipped with a large refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave oven and all the pots, pans, plates, glasses and cutlery you need.

• Coffee Tours

   

  

   

  With the popularity of specialty coffee and the fact that Geisha coffee from Boquete is perennially ranked as some of the best in the world (and the most expensive), you could say that Boquete is to coffee as the Bordeaux region of France is to wine. For the past 3 years,  Panama's coffee has been ranked as the best in the world, so when visiting Boquete you really should visit a coffee plantation and see what the fuss is all about.  Prepare to taste some of the best mountain grown coffee to be found anywhere.

   

  There are several options when it comes to visiting these world class coffee producers who provided you with an insight into this different world; allowing you to see their farms, processing plants, the roasting plant and finally - their tasting facilities. Café Ruiz offers their tour at their coffee farm in Palmira, Kotowa Coffee is located in the Palo Alto region and the Café Suárez and Finca Lérida farms are up at Alto Quiel.

   

  At any of the coffee tours in Boquete, you will see the complete coffee process; from planting the trees, how the berries grow and are picked through to tasting freshly brewed coffee.  The local indigenous people, the Ngöbe Buglé play a very important role as they hand pick the coffee berries at the peak of ripeness.  You will also see the different techniques used to allow just the right amount of sun to reach the coffee trees and other organic methods that help protect the environment. At the end of each tour you will have the opportunity to taste these great coffees in a procedure known as cupping - allowing you to sample different roasts and the different flavors.

• Boquete Tree Trek Canopy Tour

   

  

   

  This breathtaking 3.5 kilometer journey takes thrill seekers to 14 different platforms via 12 zip lines while flying through the jungle canopy. The adventure allows the brave at heart to experience the heights of the rainforest treetops while marveling at the beautiful scenery below. This is one of the top activities in Boquete and an incredible experience to enjoy while visiting the region!

   

  This zipline tour is the first and longest in all of Panama. It allows riders to experience the wonder of the cloud forest while observing the beauty of the forest itself. Panama and the Chiriquí Highlands are home to an amazing variety of plant and animal life, and this adventure gives everyone the opportunity for an up-close look while offering the one of the most thrilling activities in Central America.

   

  As a group you will travel from platform to platform with the help of highly trained, bilingual guides. You will spend about an hour and a half flying through the tree tops at speeds which, while very safe, are sure to thrill even the most adventurous people in the group.

   

  The team at the Boquete Tree Trek Adventure handles not only instructing the riders, but they have made sure that the highest level of safety is maintained on the canopy tour. These guides have invested hundreds of hours of training and supervision prior to taking charge of a group on the adventure. They know exactly how to ride the cables to ensure maximum fun and safety, and they are prepared to handle any situation that may arise. In fact, the journey is so safe that children as young as 5-years-old are allowed to ride if they are accompanied by a parent!
